1. Why does a fire truck show up when I call for EMS?

In the case of life-threatening emergency, we will dispatch a fire truck along with an EMS unit to provide extra assistance since all of our personnel are trained to provide at least Basic Life Support.

2. What can I legally burn and when can I burn it?

Burning inside City limits is prohibited. If you want to set up a recreational fire pit, contact the Fire Department at 620-325-2642 for information.

3. What is your response time?

Our average response time within the City limits is three minutes.

5. How do I establish utility service to my home or business?

You must come to City Hall, 1407 N. 8th, to complete a Utility Contract. Bring with you two forms of ID, one which must be an official photo ID. If you do not own the home, you must also bring a rental agreement from your landlord. Connection fees are $50.00 for Electric; $50.00 for Gas; and $50.00 for Water. For more information call (620) 325-2828.

6. How do I rent the Civic Center?

Contact City Hall at (620) 325-2828. You will need to fill out a rental agreement and put down a $250.00 deposit. Costs vary according to services rented.

7. How do I subscribe to Nixle?

Nixle is a mass communication service that allows the City of Neodesha to notify subscribers via e-mail or cell phone of any emergencies, community events, or disruptions of daily routines. Not only does the City of Neodesha have a Nixle account, but you can also register to be notified via Nixle of school events, closings, etc. There are many others as well. 1. How do I get a copy of my driving record?

Driving records are maintained by the Kansas Department of Public Safety (KDPS). To obtain a certified copy of your driving record, contact KDPS at (785) 587-1853.

2. How do I get a copy of an accident report?

For a copy of an accident report, please stop by the Police Station, 108 S. 4th, or call (620) 325-3031, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

3. If my keys are locked in my vehicle, can the City Police open my vehicle for me?

No, however, the Police Department will assist you in obtaining the services necessary, such as certified locksmith, to unlock your vehicle.
